Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) describes what is allowed and prohibited on SpeedNode services. It is part of our Terms of Service.

2. Permitted use

Subject to applicable law, the following is generally allowed:

• General websites, applications, and media hosting
• Business and personal projects that comply with law
• Lawful content and services that do not violate this AUP

3. Prohibited content and activity

You may not use the services for:

• Illegal content of any kind, including child sexual abuse material. We report child sexual abuse material to law enforcement and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
• Fraud, phishing, scams, identity theft, or impersonating another person or organization.
• Forging, fabricating, or materially misrepresenting documents, credentials, or identities.
• Stalking, doxxing, or publishing private information to intimidate or harass.
• Malware, botnets, unauthorized access to systems or networks, or attacks on third parties.
• Unsolicited bulk email or messages, harvested lists, fake or broken opt-in, open mail relays. We may null-route IPs used for spam.
• Open or abusable proxies and open relays. Commercial VPN or proxy products are not banned by default, but they must not be open, misconfigured, or used to violate this AUP.
• Operating a service whose purpose is to help others violate this policy or another provider’s terms.
• Copyright or trademark infringement. After a valid notice, we may remove content or suspend the service.
• Violence, terrorism, or credible threats.
• Scanning or probing SpeedNode or third-party networks, or running penetration tests, without our prior written approval.
• Circumventing abuse, network, or security controls.
• Any activity that creates legal or operational risk to SpeedNode or its customers.

You are responsible for everyone who uses your service, including your customers and their users. Their activity is treated as yours.

4. Resource abuse

You may not run processes that unreasonably degrade shared infrastructure, or use the service to attack third parties.

Unmetered or high-throughput plans are for ordinary hosting and application traffic. You may not saturate uplinks, run DDoS-for-hire or similar attack services, or use the connection as a dump pipe in a way that harms the network or other customers. We may throttle or suspend for fair-use breaches.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations. Actions can include warnings, content removal, IP null-routing, suspension, or termination without refund for serious or repeated breaches. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement when required or appropriate.

Keep a working abuse contact (email at minimum) that we can reach. If we cannot reach you about an abuse report, we may suspend the service to stop the harm.

6. Reporting

Report abuse or illegal content to [email protected]. Include relevant URLs, timestamps, and evidence when possible.

7. Changes

We may update this AUP. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
